Re: Am Not Coping
@Zoe7 I think its a late T20 game tonight, being an evening game in Perth. So the ODI game will likely be over by then. And in the tennis De Minaur is already down a break. But there is a female Aussie qualifier to play tonight too.
Your garage project has been huge, and good on you for even attempting to tackle it in the first place. But it must feel very satisfying to look at your progress at the end of each day. Sorry you will be required to return to your old school again to collect more stuff. Hope you are spared having to again see the person who contributed to your distress.
How was your day @Sam3?
Sherry

Re: Am Not Coping
I am watching the tennis but think the match will be over pretty quickly tonight @Former-Member. I'll record the next game with Kimberley playing and watch that after the 20/20 game. I did check and it is after the one dayer so can watch it. Going to take my meds later so I can hopefully stay up for it but I am pretty exhausted so I think the chance of me falling asleep on the couch is pretty high.
I am going back on the weekend to hopefully avoid that scenario at work. My sister is also coming with me so we can get it all done quickly. This will be the last time I have to go there so that chapter of my life will be over tomorrow finally.
There are a lot of things I have at home from the old school that I can finally get rid of as well - that will be good to clean out as well - but a bit like the garage - it will take time.
Been following along with the cricket also and it looks like India will win it easily if Australia don't get some wickets quickly. They have dropped a couple and that could make a big difference in the long run.

Re: Am Not Coping
Thankyou so much for your messages @Sam3 @Former-Member @Zoe7 @MDT @Shaz51 @outlander
Lovely of you all to think of me.
๐๐๐๐๐ท๐บ๐ธ
Sometimes I dream things that I have thought Iโve dealt with (the best I know how to), but obviously the traumas are still in my subconscious. Maybe they always will be. I donโt know if itโs possible to erase a lifetime of traumas.
Anyway, I choose not to think about them during the day, but sometimes they come up in my dreams. Then I have to learn how to move through all the terrible memories again.
I still have panic attacks at night, but I know I have learnt a bit better how to move on when these things happen.
It feels tragic when it still happens, but itโs good to know that thereโs light at the end of the tunnel.
Thankyou for your kind thoughts. ๐
Prns are helping through for now.
A bottle of scotch for emergencies. ๐ค๐ณ๐
Weโve had some really bad scares with D lately too, especially today, which has been really hard too. Thankyou for listening (reading) and caring.
Hoping everyoneโs day has gone ok.
Sorry I havenโt read up on here yet. Itโs been one of โthose daysโ.
I am wondering if your friend came over today @Zoe7 ๐ค

Re: Am Not Coping
Good evening @Former-Member@Zoe7@outlander@Former-Member@Shaz51 Thanks for asking about my day @Former-Member which overall Iโm actually pleased about...despite crying during the morning & picking up a new diagnosis requiring further medication!? Iโm pleased I achieved a few tasks (eg haircut, younger kids & I socialising with a friend, making nachos that everyone enjoyed despite initial disinterest). Iโm glad I sent off a pretty thorough but concise cover lettter & CV for that job I spoke on the phone about today. Fingers crossed ๐ค @Former-Member @Shaz51 @outlander I believe youโre carers & I just want to say I genuinely admire you & hope that you gain benefit from this small subset of forumites. I believe we havenโt heard from @Sans911 for a while so Iโm hoping sheโs ok after her recent DSP appointment etc. @Former-Member you sound very strong to deal with the onslaught of symptoms you seem to face night & day. Sorry to hear youโve had some scares with โDโ. Hope youโve been able to continue with your routine of affirmations & breathing to ground yourself & bring relief. @Zoe7 hope youโve enjoyed your night of sport on TV & all the best for โback to schoolโ tomorrow!!! Iโm hoping that youโre pacing yourself well because you donโt want to return to work too weary. Glad to read youโre flexible on your Wednesday timeframe. Youโve written some beautiful encouragement to @MDT . Whilst I havenโt known you as long @MDT Iโd like to concur with the statements of @Zoe7. I also empathise with wishing I could turn the clock back & wishing my resume was better and that I felt better about it. Have you thought of the possibility of paying for the expertise of those type of businesses that guide/advise/re-write your resume (might cost a few $ though)? Are there recruitment agencies that specialise in government/international relations roles? My uni student son wants to be a tutor & has registered with two agencies but itโs a bit early in the year to get work. Sounds like you enjoyed tutoring (not sure if you tutored for high school or uni but wondered if you could explore the tutoring option for overseas too but time of day might not fit with bar work!). Have you thought about getting trained overseas (or here) in English as a Second Language. That might tick a couple of boxes & could maybe fit with your bigger picture?
