I found some really interestesting points in the video in the initial post:
1.) It's important to allow ourself some space to sit with unpleasant emotions - this is part of processing and moving through emotions.
2.) Be mindful of not falling into the 'happyness' trap - where we can set up an unrealistic expectation to be happy all the time - also know as putting up a front. Remember it's also ok to be vulnerable and to experience sadness and grief. Unpleasant emotions are not necessarily a bad thing.
3.) (this wasn't in the video) Know that all feelings pass. Both pleasant and unpleasant emotions. When feeling sadness, remember it will pass (eventually). Mindfulness can help with this.
