Sorry I couldn't reply earlier. I've just got home from a 12 hr shift. No I don't get flare ups with AS. The intense pain is 24/7. I'm on prescription only analgesics which help a little.

Please do not drive when medication is making you feel spaced out or as @Owlunar said when your pain is significantly limiting your mobility. Apart from the possibility of injuring yourself or other people you could be charged with driving under the influence of drugs which do not need to be illegal substances.

I'm off to take some meds and take dog for a walk and bed soon after. Take care. 🎶
