Hi everyone
Had a browse through the craft fair/ bake sale at a local church today.
Although my last day at work will be June 29, and I will be watching my pennies like a hawk after then, I lost my head for a while because I fell in love with a beautiful patchwork quilt in colours that I love, various shades of blues, creams and pink. I had to have it. I can justify my expenditure by telling myself it is my redundancy present to myself and that I deserve to have such a beautiful quilt. So I don't feel guilty because usually I think of others' wants and needs before my own. I am meant to have this quilt. When I look at it it makes me smile because it is in "girly" colours and looks very old-fashioned. I have stored it for now so I will have something special when my new life starts.

The highlight of my day was listening to music and reading while on the train - our train line had been closed for nearly 2 months so it was great to get the train, rather than a bus!

The highlight of my day was seeing a show in the city I guess. It was visually spectacular and had beautiful music and costumes. A real treat!

The highlight of my day was to actually get some writing done for my part of a new collaborative project in a different genre from what I'm used to writing for.
It's been almost a year since I've actually written new works of my own instead of working on someone elses, so this is huge. Huge I say. May the words and ideas keep on flowing!

Feeling uplifted and lighthearted after hearing how much my few words to a fellow traveller helped.
A chance meeting, a question about their wellbeing, and an offer of a single flower picked from my poor patch of gazanias brought a smile to her very sad face.
