@Chasingsunsets The Goslings are growing up fast. So good seeing them flourish under the protective eyes of their parents and step parents.😍

@DownMoreThanUp OMG so cute and fluffy 😍
@Chasingsunsets Does watering the indoor plants on the weekend count as "gardening"? 😂. Actually, I also watered the outdoor ones - so I guess that counts too, lol. I don't have a green-thumb; my mother rescues my plants. 😂

@AlwaysMyself Silly mother duck already lost 3 ducklings. She lets them roam freely, a long way away from her, in broad day light. Our dam is wide as so lots of open water for the crows to swoop a snatch.
Last year she lost all of her ducklings within two days. Hopefully a few survive.
It can be a pesky sight when all ducklings suffer such a fate.

A very silly mumma duck @DownMoreThanUp . Interesting it isn't in her instincts to not do that.
Nature is 'cruel' by our human standards sometimes. But it is nature - the cycle of prey and predator.

@AlwaysMyself She still had 12 this afternoon. So 5 gone. Much better than last year, then she lost all 14 in less than 2 days. They are so very cute.
The Geese are far more protective over their young, and will not leave them alone, and call them back when they go too far. Other mummy ducks do that too, but she totally ignores them. Another female is nesting somewhere, we have not seen much of her lately, so hopefully soon we have some more. i saw that the mother goose who lost her two goslings has a new nest and more eggs this morning. So hopefully more goslings yet as well.

i took some more photos from our multi coloured blossoming garden this morning.
i love this colour Iris. So crisp
Amazingly our mother duck has 10 out of the 17 of her ducklings left.
Our African lily is beginning to blossom. Next week it wil be in full bloom.
Anyone ever seen a swan neck Watsonia. Ours is getting more beautiful by the year. 9 flowers spikes when i nfull bloom
