Good Morning!

Re: Good Morning!

Thanks Niqua

I will take antibiotics if I have to - but I am medically allergic to so many of them - it does make me really wary of what next - but my toenail had embedded itself into the flesh and maybe because I take strong prescription pain medication I didn't notice it as quickly as I might otherwise have done

But still - the story

Just before I joined this forum - over a year ago now - I got out of bed in the middle of the night and I accidently slid off the bed and my foot sort-of hit the bookcase beside my bed and got squished and a few months later a big piece of nail flaked off and there was an infection underneath - and a few months later it happened again - but this time without the infection - and then the third time - like a few weeks ago - the nail was distorted and - you know the story about things since then - and finally it seems to be clearing up

I so love the healing energy - I am soaking it all up - I feel ready for my holiday now - I have booked my room and now I have to buy my rail tickets

Re: Good Morning!

Yay for the holiday Dec! 😄 I'm going to go camping again, it might not be as soon as I've got in my head - but I am going to go again 🙂 I might use a bit of inspiration from your holiday if you don't mind 😉

Re: Good Morning!

Hi My Niqua Heart

how are you today? Heart

what are you up to today?

Re: Good Morning!

Hi Niqua

I don't mind you using my holiday for inspiration but I am not going camping - I am not what people call a "Happy Camper"

I am staying at a motel where there is good heating - I know this because that's where I stayed a few months ago - and I know where all the shops are and the best places for brunch and fish-n-chips in the evening -

Preferably I like hotels with room service - that is such fun - just pick up the phone and ask for a hot toastie and chips - so easy

I got a really great colouring-in book and wonderful pencils for my birthday - and I have a couple of new books and plenty to do in the evening - I am not taking my computer - but I am used to being alone at night -

When it comes to camping - yes - I have done that - wanna short story about camping at Phillip Island

Anyway - I will tell it - we went to see the penguins - and after we had paid my son got stomach cramps and so I missed the penguins because I had to take him back to the car - he was just a little kid then - and then - when their Dad and my dd came back to the car dd was upset because she had wanted to see the Pink Ones - it took a little while to figure out that a four year old got penguins and pink-ones mixed up but the story is not done

We had camped out on someone's private land - didn't asked - didn't tell - and after we had settled down we could hear the penguins calling to each other and found we had camped on one penguin's route home - and I lifted the bottom of the tent on my side and it staggered across the kids and and their Dad let him out the other side

Dd wanted to know if that was the pink one - and of course - it was - anything for a quite night and my son was so happy he actually "saw" one so close -

So that's my camping story - when our only convenience was a shovel - I only camped out like that once

Re: Good Morning!

Nice camping story, @Owlunar. Reminds me of a time many many years ago when my boyfriend and I were camping out in the wilderness. It was summertime so quite hot. We had set up our tent next to a river, no facilities and no one else around.

Or so I thought. In the morning I walked out naked to the river to freshen up only to be startled by a group of people who were sleeping out in the open about five metres away from our tent. Needless to say I ran back to shelter.

Re: Good Morning!

Great story @soul - I have had dreams like that

But although I used to go skinny-dipping I never got caught - early in the morning in a quiet part of Port Phillip Bay - take a floaty out with me and take my bathers off and enjoy the beauty of the early morning starkers in peace - I could see for miles up the beach in both directions - no one forever-

I really enjoyed those mornings - I found that almost private beach by accident

Life passes fast Soul - so enjoy the skinny-dipping parts of life when you can but yes - look for late campers before going all the way to the river
