It's been a long day ..... classes, deliveries, got a nap in there cos I didn't sleep well so got up and knitted instead .... :face_with_rolling_eyes: ..... and a special occasion for a baby dragon who didn't want to celebrate ......

Mum is still in ICU but they had her up and in a chair for awhile yesterday. She is still in a fair bit of pain and not breathing on her own yet but we are hopeful that will change in the next few days. I will be off to see her later this morning once visiting hours begin but beforehand will need to head out to the shops to buy her a light rug that she can put over herself whilst she is in the chair. She requested a specific colour and I found one at Big W 👍

My sister is still struggling with everything but I have had many conversations with her. It is very draining but with Mum unable to talk and her partner away I have to be there for her. 

On a positive note - I got all the kids' art work entered into the competition they wanted to enter. My kids in class were amazing yesterday helping me get that done so it became a pretty stress-free process. The little angels worked quietly, helped each other out and gave me space when I needed it to get things entered. We had over 60 entries in the end - so a massive joib to scan, upload and fill in all the individual entry details ...but to have it done is rewarding ...and I know the kids have been excited to do the artwork too so that was extra inentive.

This weekend I do have a lot of work to catch up on but also need some time to myself - so going to do some work in the garage inbetween visiting Mum, watching some footy and plenty of fur baby time.

Thankyou for all the well wishes and thoughts over the last week - it does mean a lot 

@Emelia8 The dog and cat image reminds me of my two fur babies sitting side by side - they are so cute together 

@Faith-and-Hope I have been very much missing you Hon and hope that all you have been doing in your home is making it feel more yours. Hugs and hugs and hugs

Sounds like you have gotten so much done this week. Well done for getting all the enteries in for the Art comp. I am sure your students are grateful for you hon. 

It is good to hear your mum is doing a little better but still such a long way to go. She and your sister are lucky to have you around. I know how hard it is when they cannot talk (happened with my Dad) but the support you are showing is so remarkable and you certainly are courageous.

I hope you are able to get some time to yourself this weekend. I am sure your fur babies are missing you too. Take care of yourself hon, you are super important to us here.

It is hard because my Mum is not telling my sister some things because she is not dealing with it all well ...but I am remaining positive for her, encouraging her and reminding her everytime I see her that she is improving - even if it is just a little each day. She is so scared as she had no idea what happened but we have been able to talk to her about it the last few days. She can write things down now too which really helps. 

My sister has also been dealing with a sick horse so that has added an extra layer to everything for her and Dad. It is Dad's horse but he has been at my sister's for several months with her looking after him. Neither have told Mum (nor have I) that he is sick as she would not cope with that at all - he is one of her favourite horses 

My fur babies have been giving me a lot of love when I am home but I am looking forward to spending some more time with them this weekend. I still miss my little girl so much but each day it is getting a little easier with all those reminders everywhere ...I can smile occasionally knowing how much love she gave me and how lucky I was to have her for as long as I did. She was such a beautiful little girl 😺❤

This is a really hard time for you and your family - and add a sick horse - this wouldn't happen to every family but in yours - yes - and it is an important issue to add to the many you have atm.

Yes - you do have a lot to do this weekend and you know you need time for yourself as well - I hope you can put that first even though other things need your attention in their time too

You always seem well regulated but I know this isn't easy - I will be thinking of you and hoping you get a break soon. You are very caring and loving with your family - and your furry friends - including the horse. I can only wish you the best and send my love

I’m glad your fur babies are giving you so much love at this time. They sure found a good mumma when they moved in with you.

How lovely that you were able to get the requested coloured rug for your Mum. I hope she continues to improve each day as she is surrounded with love from her girls.

I'm glad your mum can write things down for you and your sister. At least that is one way to communicate. I know it won't be the same as her talking but at least it is something.

It is good to know that you have your fur babies waiting for you when you get home. No doubt their cuddles help💜 It does get easier as time goes on but I am sure you still miss her like crazy and always will.

Sorry to hear about your sisters horse. I hope things work out and he improves. You have enough to deal with at the moment.

I am glad to hear your Mum is improving and your sister is coping.  Never rains but it pours, huh ?!!  I hope the horse is picking up too.

I have had a lot to organise around D2 since coming back east.  She is under an authority fir the time being, which is daunting to say the least, but it appears to be our safest pathway forward because more people involved helps to expose the bigger picture, and I am not in it wading around on my own and hoping for the best ...... still hoping for the best, of course, but having to trust strangers, and trusting our outcomes to strangers ...... better than trusting our outcomes to 'him' ...... grrrrr ......

Classes have started up again, mostly online but we are going back on campus this week ..... which is daunting too with the current Covid situation, but life must go on.
