Life can be a Pain

Re: Life can be a Pain

I teach primary school @Owlunar - grade 3/4 is my favourite age group.

I am going to check in on a couple of other threads and then log off for the night - I am having internet issues so don't know when it will stop working again Smiley Frustrated

Thank you for the chat tonight - it has been lovely talking to you as always.

Great discussion to read @Owlunar & @Zoe, we can learn so much listening in, thank you 🙂 Particularly liked when you said, yesterday "great day for snuggling on the couch with a little white fluffball Smiley Tongue" - Now that sounds like self care, bigtime! Zoe7.

Have a good day you two ❤❤❤

Re: Life can be a Pain

Hi @Former-Member@Zoe7@Appleblossom@outlander@Faith-and-Hope@utopia

My daughter has had her procedure done and is home from hospital - it's in and out really fast now - and better home from hospital than staying overnight as it was - how long ago - I really forget - when I had a few similar procedures - she is a bit sore and drowsy and it's easier to sleep at home than in hospital

I am so glad that is over and that's for you comments everyone - it has all been helpful

Re: Life can be a Pain

Hi @Zoe7

Primary school teacher - years 9 and 10 - that sounds as if it's a good plan when you are able to return to work - I don't think that would be any time soon though - it's a plan

That was a great chat we had last night - it was really good to catch up - and successfully too - it seems you are recovering slowly and I hope this continues

Re: Life can be a Pain

@Owlunar - so pleased your daughters procedure went well. It's always a worry until it's over.
Hope you had a nice Easter long weekend

Re: Life can be a Pain

Hi @utopia

Yes - I am glad it's over - I was really glad to get the text to let me know

There will be pathology results of course and I don't know how long they will take - but endo is endo - and it seems common for some reason - I am wondering if there is anyone who doesn't get it

And I wonder why this is - perhaps it has something to do with women often having fewer children - I just thought of that - the uterus gets really every month and nothing happens

I am sweating about my doctors appointment this afternoon - I have not spoken to this doctor before and many doctors are not prepared to give people the kind of injections I need - of course if she doesnr't give me one I can get the locum doctor in to do it but I don't like that either

The thing is not to fret too much and keep cool about it - everything is well recorded and well monitored and everything is authenitcated -

Of course all of this gave me a headache

The Easter weekend was quiet and I enjoy it - I lost track of the days yesterday but I know it's Tuesday

I hope you are as well as possible today

Re: Life can be a Pain

Is it a new gp or a new pain specialist you are seeing today @Owlunar?
My friends and I have never had endometriosis. We've been lucky. But I think you're right. There does appear to be an increase in this condition. Not sure why.
I had a lazy weekend. My son started his first job last week. Working in a take away food shop in a service station outlet. So it was very busy with the easter traffic. He's enjoying it and can't wait to get his first pay later this week. Lol. I've told him half of his pay must go into his bank account to be saved.

Re: Life can be a Pain

Hi @utopia

Today I saw the new doctor our my clinic - my GP is on holidays this week so rather than use the Locum Service and wait for hours - I saw the new GP and she asked questions and I must have had the right answers because she gave the nurse instruction for me to have my injection and it was okay

My BP is high - totally convinced it is stress and my stress is caused by things I have no control over - thought about things a lot - it went down after my injection but not enough really when the pain had stopped because of the injection

Stress - those things we cannot control but we have them anyway and the alternative is not to care about things and I have never been good at that.

I think it's great that your son has started his first job - and that he is expected to save half of it - it's never too soon to start saving - I am so pleased for your sake and for his as well

Endometriosis - yes - I am sure you know what it is and that it's painful - women seem to have more health issues in the female department - I was having a suture put into the the cervix when I was pregnant - to help me hold the baby and on my way into the theatre complex I saw a chalkboard and I think there were 10 people having operations and the 9 women all had female operations and the one man had his appendix out

Old age ain't no place for sissies and being female has to be a good second

Actually after all of the stress today I feel better than I have for a couple of days
