Yes - I am really enjoying myself @outlander
Goll-ee - I am planning to go swimming - it's such a long time since I went swimming - I used to swim a lot - and last summer I did walk to the beach from the shopping centre near the river when I live
It's August and my annus horribilis is over - I made up my mind to feel better once it was August again and I really believe in the power of the mind. We had icy gales today and my shopping lady was determined to complain about it but I felt to good - Of course I was wearing warm socks and a long sleeved cotton shirt and a wool-blend jumper and this works for me - but going so far north - right up to the top end - I only thought of that today and I got brochures from a travel agent and seeing the pics made it all real
Maybe I can have a cyber-beach party while I am up there and all of you can come along and eat the imaginary foot and really be noisy
For now life feels okay - I wish I could share this around
Dec
I would really love it if it were possible for everyone who wanted to could join me

hello @Owlunar
I can feel your enthusiasm jumping out of your words....lovely that you are able to move past those vulnerable months....
planning something exciting for yourself...definitely self care....
exploring parts of the land that we live on is so rewarding and grounding at the same time...
@Former-Member @outlander @Shaz51
sharing Dec's travels will be a wonderful experience for us too...
I have not been to the north of queensland...
I imagine standing at the most northern point of Australia will be incredible...seeing the gulf of carpentaria...the arafura sea...the torres strait and the coral sea...
from cairns the great barrier reef...

Hi @Sophia1
It will be so great to share my trip with other people - I am running off - right to the top end to stand with one foot in the Arafura Sea and the other in the Pacific Ocean - flying to Cape York and back will be so much easier than walking everywhere and a 4WD tour of Cape York - oh wow - 10 hours - I will have to make sure I take my pain medication with me and take it before I go and before the pain starts so I can enjoy all this this
I'm so excited
And I just can't hide it
I'm about to lose control and I think I like it
And they provide lunch and snacks
Another thing I could do is Bungy Jumping but I think I will give that a miss - there are something things I have thought about doing for my whole life - Bungy Jumping is not one of them

haha @Owlunar
definitely give bungy jumping a miss...for the life of me I cannot see why someone would pay to dangle upside down ...boing ...boing...boing...eyes popping out of sockets...
now tandem flying that is a different kettle of fish altogether....
love the concept of one foot in the arafura sea and the other in the pacific ocean...
love that you are so excited and don't you dare hide it...
your planning and prospective adventures is bringing a smile to my face ...I am catching the infection...
similar to when someone starts laughing naturally...then it becomes infectious...
thank you for chatting with me...great distraction and start to the day...
thank you for the gift of a smile...so very valuable
I must move from here as am stiffening up...
also have to finish getting house ready for inspection by appointment today....blech..
fingers crossed outcome will be worth it...
speak soon

Hi @Sophia1
You are getting your house ready for inspection - are you selling your property
It's exciting buying a new place but selling the old one - I found this stressful - with our last house I had to go to work and I really did not like having people coming into the house when I wasn't there - I get it - blech - I hope the outcome is worth it too
No bungy jumping - I hadn't thought of my eyes popping out of my head but yeah - that could happen - and maybe my partial dentures would be blown out with all my screaming and screaching - I don't hold back under such circumstances
I used to get on the big dipper and stay there until I had used up all my tickets - and yelled a lot then too - whatever we have stored up in our systems can be released when so excited and scared and idiotic -
I like the idea of flying in small planes better -
There is so much to do from Cairns - I am wondering if my daughter would be into looking in on Companion Cat for a couple of extra days - she is ringing me tonight to talk it over
It's a lot but I had better get as many trips in before I get past it - I love business class - it's a totally different experience - I can stretch my long legs out and get up without bothering anyone else and people in business class are the centre of attention.
Yes - there were weeks - months - since I was off in Hobart and it has been a battle - now I am into organising myself into going again I am really enjoying myself already

Come Josephine in my flying machine - up she goes

I'LL WAVE AS YOU FLY OVER 🙂
Hi @Owlunar @Decadian - I do remember both. You were once so hurt over another online forum site and your mum's passing. Gosh, you hardly mention those things now - come so far in your healing journey. Proud of you. Thanks for being a good example 🙂
Glad the toe is better too, and "an#s horribles" has passed (excuse the pun lol, actually don't know if to laugh or cry over images that all conjures up lollol, poor you).
Its exciting to hear about your holiday / travel plans. Good for you!
Had to laugh at 'life' myself the other dayday, to realise i finally have money to go on a holiday 🙂 ... but stuck here with dad 😞 Don't ya love it!
Your trip sounds good so far, glass house mountains have a big tourist focus. Not spent much time there, Wanted to take my girl to Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo up that way, and fancied I might live at Gympie. The hinterland there is expensive to buy, yuppy, so nice. Hope you have a bus tour or something.
It helps us get through winter, these good plans. And yours is just in time for Spring.
Toowoomba has a Carnival of Flowers in Spring - lovely Gardens up there on the range, and bus trips... toowoomba even has its own international airport now, called Brisbane West Wellcamp Airport" Flew there myself not so long ago but had panic attack 😞 ?die to slightly smaller aircraft.
Anyway, good planning big sis
