It's a real shame the boys had to experience that @utopia. Racism is racism which ever way it goes. Sorry for your daughter's experience too @Faith-and-Hope.
Thankyou so much for your thoughtful words @Appleblossom and beautiful flowers again. I've had to revisit my story so often in recent times between therapy and reports/statements for the hearing, one more time can't hurt. It means a lot to have compassionate feedback as opposed to none, telling it here does help.

Glad you agree with the topic @utopia Given it was not too distressing and the boys had each other and you to process it with, maybe you all managed to turn it into positive social learning.

The mood about diversity of race is very different now to what was standard fare 1960s etc, but its not all progress if things get too heated too quickly, without issues being worked through.
