Groundhog Day - our thoughts and our stories finding our way along the journey

Re: Groundhog Day - our thoughts and our stories finding our way along the journey

Hopefully you’ve made it out the door @Former-Member 😍

That is so very sad that your daughter meets such disrespectful guys.
Being a mum, I’d be fuming 😤
No doubt you get angry about how he treats her too.

You know your daughter and know what to say and what not to say.
Asking her for money, wow. Not good at all.
Blocking her on Facebook.
Sounds like a real creep.

I do hope she continues with the counselling.

Oh I hope your daughter stays away from this creep.

That’s really good that your daughter is going away for a few days @Former-Member
Good to hear she’s seeing what this guy is really like. She does deserve better.
You’re a great mum too.

Hoping you sleep well.
Night night. 💜💤🌺

Re: Groundhog Day - our thoughts and our stories finding our way along the journey

GHi @Former-Member

How are you today my lovely? I hope you managed to sleep well last night. I received about 6 hrs, it was very humid all night and I was awoken early, but I can survive on 6hrs (I do well on 8 though). Some sleeping meds can cause a hang over the next day I have experienced - I take them as well due to ongoing stress. That is all I take now as I cannot handle the side effects of medications that were prescribed in the past. I found a type of sleeping med that suited me better - they work well for 4 hrs of solid sleep and have no after effects the next day if I take them early.  I understand how important sleep is to cope - I need a lot.

I hope your daughter didn't lose a lot of uni work when the computer crashed. Did she pick up a computer virus when it crashed? My computer crashed like that quite a few years ago - we were lucky that my husband was able to retrieve the files on it - it was years of photos, videos and memories. I was devastated at the time so I can understand your disappointment. I was working on putting together a video of my daughter's younger years with special effects etc when it happened to me. It's good that your daughter is able to use the computer again - essential for study now a days.

I love curries @Former-Member - Your cooking sounds too tempting. I am like you where I eat basic food most of the time, but will lash out occasionally. I make my own version of Indian samosas with mint yoghurt sauce and I have a waiting list for dinner at my place for them - they are a winner. But otherwise my cooking is average. I have cooked the Samosas for weddings and functions in the past. It's very hard work - I admire chefs and how hard they work (so stressful).

I hope your stomach has settled down - I find sugar substitutes and fatty foods does the same to me so I try and eat lots of fruit and vegetables (raw salads).

I have just returned from visiting my best friend and her sick husband (he has stage 4 cancer). He starts chemo next week and I need to get myself together as they will need me. I can't let them down in their darkest moments.

I hope you and your family are have a relaxing weekend and that there are many peaceful moments for you all to enjoy 😄😘x
