Am Not Coping

Re: Am Not Coping

@Former-Member @Faith-and-Hope @Faith-and-Hope

I just got home and sorted out my meds and was about to pick up the phone and ring the insurance company again when they finally called back - only took 6 hours! The paperwork has been received and is being processed so should have money in a couple of days - hoping it is in before my appointment on Wednesday. Just need to hold on for another couple of days and hope that it is sooner rather than later and I can at least get back on an even keel for a couple of weeks. I have enough baby food to get them through until thurs/fri so that is at least covered.

Saw my GP and everything else is 'on track' but she understands how much the money situation is affecting me. I don't have any more medical expenses other than psychiatrist this week (so far) so that is a relief - new scripts to be filled next week (I thought it was this week). The beautiful assistant at the chemist came over and asked me if I was ok today and said 'you don't seem your usual self' then gave me a hug - I cried Smiley Happy It was so lovely of her - a bit teary just thinking how sweet she was.

It's cold, dark and wet here (would not be surprised if it snows tonight) so snuggling up on the couch with Toby and my doona is probably the best thing to do. Another day to get through and then tackle tomorrow when it comes!

Re: Am Not Coping

Yes ..... comfy Chair Island is a good idea @Zoe7 ..... 💚🌷

So glad you have that much of an answer, and I hope they come through in time for Wednesday's appointment.

Hugs Hon ...... 🤗💐💕

Re: Am Not Coping

Think I might need the tissues this afternoon too @Faith-and-Hope Heart

How are you doing Hon?

Re: Am Not Coping

Not too bad @Zoe7. Keeping busy and distracted. I went for a long walk this morning, and I am about to go and visit an injured friend at her home.

I have been painting. It's coming along nicely ....

Can you do some ink sketches @Zoe7, and work watercolour into them ? It's something I want to experiment with more ..... I wish I still had a cat to sketch .... 😏 .... ansinals are great, and you have two right there ❣️

Re: Am Not Coping

I still can't do much at all @Faith-and-Hope Just the short drive to the chemist and GP was tiring. We seem to be getting on top of my chest infection and asthma but not my movement and energy. This will take a bit more time. It is frustrating because I can't do anything for more than a few minutes without my body staring to hurt and I feel really weak. It is also a constant reminder of how sick I became last year and that triggered everything I have been enduring since. So even holding a pen or a paintbrush after a few minutes is impossible atm. I can't even pick Cat up and cuddle her so have to wait until she is on the bed and snuggle up next to her for a few minutes (until attention-seeking Toby starts jumping and barking and disturbs us both Smiley Surprised)

I am so pleased your painting is coming along and that you are keeping on with it. Good that you are keeping distracted but sorry to hear you have a friend that is injured. I'm sure you seeing them will lift their spirits - I can't imagine your presence would be anything less than uplifting Smiley Happy

I do miss chatting with you Hon - just not in the best place atm to really think or 'converse' much.

hugas @Zoe7 HeartHeart we are here for you xx

Re: Am Not Coping

How sweet of the pharmacy assistant to see that you are struggling and give you a hug @Zoe7.
There are people out there that care about you. Some like the assistant, you may not have thought of.
Sending you a hug. I do hope it snows. Can you see the mountain top from your place? Would be lovely to see the snow but still be inside snugglywarm. ♥♥

@Shaz51 Heartheart:Heart

@utopia I can see the top of the mountain from my place - even more of it if I go 'up the ladder' for  @Faith-and-Hope !!!!

I can't believe I have a sore throat again tonight - I was only out of the house for about an hour and was either in the car or inside buildings for most of that time. The house is definitely warm enough as I have the heater on 24/7 lately. Seriously over being unwell @utopia I really thought it was gone and I was starting to improve.

Re: Am Not Coping

Just a temporary setback @Zoe7. Bet the throat has settled back down by the morning.
Up the ladder. You'll have to explain that one.
I've just arrived home from the local AA meeting.

Re: Am Not Coping

@utopia I have a ladder at the side of my house that I climb up to take sunset photos and post for @Faith-and-Hope It isn't very high - only a few metres but high enough to get some nice photos when we have a nice sunset. It has also been helping me not get as anxious about the transition from day to night as much as taking the photos is a distraction. I haven't been 'up the ladder' for a couple of weeks now as I can't physically do it safely.

So proud of you my beautiful cocky friend going to AA meetings and staying sober - SO proud Heart
