Hey @MDT I headed to bed early last night - didn't even make it through the 20/20 Hurricanes game. It was a good thing that I did because Toby woke me arounf 3am needing to go out. He has been feeling sick all day - came home to a mess near the back door and he is very listless still. I hope he is better by tomorrow and if not I will need to take him to the vet. Had to give him a bath when I came home to clean him up so now he is laying down on his bed drying off. The poor little cherub looks so sad
I had another good day today - all teachers that had me in their class were super nice and very appreciative having me helping out. I actually worked with a small group today in one class and despite them being a bit noisey it was good to do some actual work with them.
Fridays are going to be great - I am working for a whole block with a grade 6 class and the teacher wants me to make papier mache native animals with a group of kids so I will be doing something I love. Then I have preps for the afternoon where all classes play outside together so it is more a supervisory role but a nice way to end the day.
The classroom teacher that I was with this morning actually thanked me for being such a wonderful help - she said she couldn't have done what she was doing without my help so that made me feel bith useful and wanted.
I know there is still a lot to be ironed out and it will be difficult for the next few weeks but I can already feel that love of the job coming back again. It is nowhere near the same as having my own class but I will make it work - and there isn't the same level of pressure so I think that is a good thing for me too.
Monday is a public holiday here so next week will be a 3 day working week for me - that will be great to get back into it more gradually for another week.
I hope everyone has had some light in their day and the weekend is restful.
Love and hugs to everyone
@Faith-and-Hope @Maggie @Former-Member @Snowie @Sans911 @Adge @TheVorticon @Shaz51 @Owlunar @Teej @CheerBear @eth and all passing through or following my journey...
