Am Not Coping

It was my last day of actual teaching at my current school today - the last 2 days are for cleaning things up and moving things on Friday along with normal end of work activities.

It was announced in the assembly today that I was leaving - flowers and small speech - I couldn't talk as I was actually shocked by it  I did look for a whole lot of posters that I left in 2 drawers and surprise, surprise ...they have disappeared - that was a lot of money spent on them and some I am not even sure I can replace. I will have a look around on Thursday but my fear is that they are gone (who knows where but someone has a lot of resources that don't belong to them ) This has made me feel rather hollow this afternoon - I hope some of them can be found but I am not holding my breathe 

I have got one thing for my sister for christmas and 2 toys for Toby for his birthday today. I didn't have to stay for the meeting after school so I picked up my car (over $400 later - argh), picked up a few things on the way home and now spending time with Toby. He doesn't know it is his birthday but I do and I am celebrating the day he was born because that meant he was brought into my life ...and what a wonderful thing that has been for me. I am so lucky to have him and cannot imagine life without him.

@Zoe7 It is great that you got through the week and they made a fuss of you leaving.  Though sometimes it is not nice to be in spotlight when you are uncertain about how you stand.

@Appleblossom if it was one or two posters I could understand that things go missing but it is two whole large drawers full and that also means hundreds of dollars worth - some I will probably never be able to et back as they were quite old - I just looked after them really well. I will do a search on Thursday and maybe even put out an email asking if anyone knows of their whereabouts.

It is a bad look for your "colleagues".  Were they left there from before your long period of time off, or just from this brief period.

It is definitely worth emailing and asking around.
