Am Not Coping

Spent 2 hrs driving in the car. Was calming for most of it. Last half hour was a struggle with thinking about a drink. But I got home and the urge had passed.
Time in nature - even if it's in a car - best thing in the world.

It really has helped a lot being able to come back on here a little more too - so much harder when that support isn't around  I know what is eventually needed to try and move forward but that avenue is not even a consideration for now - so the long road continues to wind in front of me but I can see a few lights along the way - just need to try and make sure I crash too badly as I hit all the speed humps lol

@Zoe7. I think if you could manage to look back at where you have come from - you would see how far you have already traveled. The road ahead may appear long - but the road behind you is also long. Sometimes it's hard to look back when you are living it. But we, your forum friends and family can see how far you have come.
And I'm so pleased that there is not just one light ahead that you can see, but a few. And remember, if you come to a traffic light and it is red, don't worry, because the light will turn green again as soon as your body and mind are ready.

I'm logging off for a while now. Not sure if I'll be back on tonight. I'll try.
Going to make my first call to the local AA support in my town. Tissue box ready. But I can do this.
