Re: Dissociation (CPTSD) from client aggression (work)

Thanks @Owlunar
I'm still struggling to be present (grounded) or to focus on daily tasks.

My heightened anxiety in recent days is triggering dissociation throughout the entire day - which is blanking (numbing) my mind out.

It's been extremely difficult to express myself or to even type a few words.

Deep breathing helps a bit - but only for the duration of the task (to keep me focused).

I did deep breathing for over 4 hrs on the weekend - just to get me through what I needed to do (house tasks etc).

I cannot do deep breathing effectively whilst at work - so I've been numb & dissociated (or highly anxious) & unable to think most of each day.

Re: Dissociation (CPTSD) from client aggression (work)

Sending you a hug @Adge ..... 🤗

I know it doesn't fix anything, but there is nothing anyone can say or do to fix my situation (unless they are the diagnosing dr) .... and hugs are always welcome over here in the interim .....

Re: Dissociation (CPTSD) from client aggression (work)

Thanks @Faith-and-Hope
Hugs are very welcome.
I'm sending hugs your way too.

Made you smile a bit ? (Hopefully ...)

Re: Dissociation (CPTSD) from client aggression (work)

@Faith-and-Hope
I did smile ! I loved the Autocorrect gremlin...
I'm afraid the @Ashe (if it was a joke) went right over my head...
The Autocorrect gremlin is a classic (I don't think I've heard of that before)...
