Hi @Faith-and-Hope @outlander @SunFlower_7 @Owlunar@Adge and everyone else here😊.
When I think of blue, I think of the ocean, being calm and relaxed and different shades of blue yarn that I could knit a jumper, scarf or beanie with.

Beautiful Blue Whale 🙂
Forgive me if I'm wrong, I find it a little hard to keep up with what the word is for the day . . . but if it's blue, I'm going with the Whale 🙂

@outlander, it's mine now. It used to be my Great-Grandmother's. 🙂 My Mum passed it on to me a few years ago. It spends most of its time safely packed away, but comes out for special occasion dinners. It'll hold the Christmas roast later this month.
There's that tricky balance that if you never use the special things, you don't really end up appreciating them. If you use them too casually, they will probably get broken.
With my sister and I working through clearing out our parents' home now that they're in aged care, we're both finding that the things that we value are the ones that have good memories connected with them. The things that never got used because they were "too special" will only become precious to us if we use them.

Christmas tree blueprint- in case anyone needs a bit of professional guidance on how to construct one.

@outlander, the design on the plate is called "Pheasants and Flowers" and it was a very popular one all those years ago.
Our house is an old one built in the 1800s, and I frequently find pottery shards buried in the garden, including fragments with this same pattern on them. Which adds an extra level of connection- past residents of this house used the same dinner set pattern. 🙂
