Okay - some clues

I am made of steel, plastic and glass mostly - I am much longer than I am high or wide and I am seen everywhere and really handy if you need to go anywhere

So far - just nos - maybe this is a bit different - it has nothing to do with jewellery

Dec - sometimes I am just too clever for my own good
