Night Shift

Re: Night Shift

I'm ok tonight thanks @outlander.  Are you new to the forums or have I met you before?  Sorry if I have, life's been pretty full-on the last 6 months and my memory isn't the best.  How are you?

Re: Night Shift

Anything you want to talk about, @outlander?

'Okay-ish' is my standard answer when people ask how I am. Am I okay? ... not so much, but it's all relative, right? Like you said, safe and alive ... sometimes that's the best we can hope for.

Nice to meet you @eth. I only joined yesterday. How are you?

Re: Night Shift

I was here before but deleted myself and have inly been back for a month or so @eth i dont remember meeting you though .

@Former-Member @eth
Im okish just been struggling beyond belief including my now loss of freedom from my dreadful mother. And big stuff ups and arguments
Yes it seems 'okish' or 'fine' seem to be the only answera suitable other than explaining everything

Re: Night Shift

Welcome @Former-Member!  I've been around the forums on and off since 2014.  It's always good to meet new people here.  I'm okish too.  Have just been reading the Q&A on NDIS.  I've been having my own frustrating journey with them since February.

Re: Night Shift

@outlander  you know what they say 'fine' stands for - f'd up, neurotic and emotional - and it's usually true of me recently.  Most people ask 'how are you?' but few wait for an answer and couldn't handle the truth if they got it.  God I sound cynical don't I?

Re: Night Shift

oops I forgot the i in fine - insecure.   Also true of me a lot of the time.  So when I say 'fine' to someone they don't know that's what I mean.

Re: Night Shift

Sounds complicated, @outlanderSmiley Sad Sorry to hear you're struggling so much.

Yes @eth, I've read your NDIS thread. Thank you for sharing your experience, by the way. I am really thinking that it's not even worth applying. It seems like what I actually need help with isn't funded, even if I can prove I am 'disabled' enough. It doesn't seem like it's worth the trauma of the application process. Smiley Sad

Re: Night Shift

Your only speaking the truth @eth

Re: Night Shift

I don't think that's cynicism, @eth. Just realism. Most people don't actually care.

Re: Night Shift

Oh yes @Former-Member its extremely complicated but its only complicated bow becausemy mother didnt give a crap and now shes being a control freak and wont let me see a psychitrist and therw all my medicatios for my MI in the bin. (Im 20 btw and still live at home)
