I'm ok tonight thanks @outlander. Are you new to the forums or have I met you before? Sorry if I have, life's been pretty full-on the last 6 months and my memory isn't the best. How are you?

Anything you want to talk about, @outlander?
'Okay-ish' is my standard answer when people ask how I am. Am I okay? ... not so much, but it's all relative, right? Like you said, safe and alive ... sometimes that's the best we can hope for.
Nice to meet you @eth. I only joined yesterday. How are you?

Welcome @Former-Member! I've been around the forums on and off since 2014. It's always good to meet new people here. I'm okish too. Have just been reading the Q&A on NDIS. I've been having my own frustrating journey with them since February.

@outlander you know what they say 'fine' stands for - f'd up, neurotic and emotional - and it's usually true of me recently. Most people ask 'how are you?' but few wait for an answer and couldn't handle the truth if they got it. God I sound cynical don't I?

oops I forgot the i in fine - insecure. Also true of me a lot of the time. So when I say 'fine' to someone they don't know that's what I mean.

Sounds complicated, @outlander. Sorry to hear you're struggling so much.
Yes @eth, I've read your NDIS thread. Thank you for sharing your experience, by the way. I am really thinking that it's not even worth applying. It seems like what I actually need help with isn't funded, even if I can prove I am 'disabled' enough. It doesn't seem like it's worth the trauma of the application process.

I don't think that's cynicism, @eth. Just realism. Most people don't actually care.
