We now have a road built beside our house now so the house  can now be demolished sometime

I hope your plans about your home can unfold without too much stress.  You have been through so much with it.

Yes the govt is very confident in building roads.  A LOT of new roads appeared in my local area in last 9 months.

It would be good if you can turn it around somhow to enjoy the process, the adventure of planning and rebuilding ...or ....maybe stay at your mums and go on a never to be forgotten overseas trip.  idk how you keep so supportive either.
