Re: Emotional Eating

That's okay @Patches59 . I repect that. I just wanted to make sure you were okay.

Hugs

Re: Emotional Eating

@tyme    I don’t feel comfortable posting in the forums anymore.  Too worried things are going to happen again where to cease questions I end up mentioning things I’m not ready to share yet.   Saying no more on here and logging off

Re: Emotional Eating

All good @Patches59 . Take care.

Feel free to reach out at team@saneforums.org if you feel up to it.

Re: Emotional Eating

@tyme

Why?   For what reason?   I don’t understand

Re: Emotional Eating

Hey @Patches59 ,

Sorry if I've causes any distress. You mentioned that you don't feel comfortable posting on the forums anymore, so I just wanted to ensure you have the space to share via email if you wanted to reach out to the team.

No pressure.

Hope you are okay.

Thinking of you and our past live chats. I'm still chasing them up to see when we can restart.

Re: Emotional Eating

Nothing that you have said @tyme

nothing for you to apologise for?

I didn’t have the knowledge about benefit of sending email hence my question.

I miss that chats with you Dimity, Jynx and various others.

I posted about trying to break bad habit of not finishing things, something I thought and felt was a positive.  Comment by someone few days later talked about mental block, me being perfectionist or procrastinator …. Words that hurt.  Person never asked anything about possible reason for ‘bad habit’ first.  Whatever person's [edited by mod] intentions were, the words triggered me, people making decisions for or about me

due to being born into a life that was far from ‘normal’ plus years of memories that were locked away and recently lots of locks opening, I’m now realising why I do certain things, things I prefer to refer to ‘bad habits’.

Re: Emotional Eating

Fair enough @Patches59 . I hear that. It can be hard at the best of times. I just want you to know that there is space for you to reach out.

We all have different life journeys and our own beasts to face. I feel that no one is better than anyone else, and it's up to us to navigate things to get the life we aspire (?) to?

Please know we are here for you. Give those cats a cuddle, eh?

Re: Emotional Eating

@tyme

take care

Re: Emotional Eating

Yes I am learning that now , but it makes me feel worthless

Re: Emotional Eating

Hi @Ruby61 and welcome to the forums

Emotional eating is definitely a complex challenge, I know I really struggle to separate food from emotions, and I think many others do too. Maybe we all just need to be a bit gentler with ourselves and remind ourselves that it takes time to unlearn certain patterns and behaviours
