@oceangirl I cant believe I forgot to ask about Kira. My baby is curled up to me snoring at the moment. He turned 4 at the end of January. He has become a real family dog now which is great and is much more affectionate with my kids. He used to be just my dog but now really looks for them and shares his love. Come night time though he has to be with me still, touching me to sleep.
i had to give up tafe 😳 again. I'm supposed to be going back in July but I'd need to be better than this. Some days I think I'm kidding myself that I can do this.
Im glad you are following things through from the hospital. I think I read you have a new specialist now too I think. Hopefully the enjoyment will come back. I know I have to do more things just because they are good for me.
Thanking you for your good vibes and sends them some back to you. 💜🤗

Hi @Former-Member
I'm sorry you have had to give up TAFE again this year - it must be discouraging for you
I haven't been in touch so much lately - I am catching up now the weather is getting bleak - but I know you battle a lot without telling us all about it - I am aware
I hope you can get back in July - keep trying - it works very well for you when you are well
All the best with that

Thanks @Owlunar,
I know I really do enjoy TAFE when I'm there. Oh well. I'll just have to see what happens from here.
I heard you love Autumn, it my favourite season too and this year it's been lovely Autumn weather. I just need to get out in it a bit more I think. I hope you've got to enjoy some of it too. The leaves are all turning here so I think I need to go for a drive and see some of it.
I hope today is an ok day for you.
take good care of you 💜🤗💐

Hi @Former-Member
I do like autumn but when it turns cold I find I am not a happy camper
Right now I am starting to chop some vegies to make some soup and I think a hot bath might make me feel warmer - maybe even better
Yes - I know you enjoy your classes when you are at TAFE - I know you have all sorts of battles with yourself that you don't share that much about - I guess it's a balancing act for you
It took me 12 years to do a four year university course - I don't talk much about the details but there are a lot of deferments and special considerations in there - my life was a shambles through those years and my studying kept me together - but sometimes the wheels fell off
Even my year's study at TAFE has holes in it - I was supposed to do the course in one semester but it took a whole year -
I think I understand - and I will support your efforts all I can and I do understand

Thanks @Faith-and-Hope, @Owlunar
You do realise I'd be retiring age if I take 10 years 😘 But the sentiment or story isn't lost on me.

I was 50 when I graduated @Former-Member and thought I would study Teaching Adult Education and did the course at TAFE and started teaching - but in 1995 I hurt my back and was forced into early retirement
But all the study I had done had become habitual so now I still study alone - which means I only do what I want to, read what I choose to, and there are no exams or essays
So what ever we learn - it can serve us for the rest of our lives
Just keep plodding along - it's amazing what can become a habit if we keep at it
And I always wish you the best about it

Hi @Owlunar couldn't help noticing your later, mature years for study as I did the same myself with TAFE and then later as a uni external student graduating in both after 12 years of study. Knowledge is never any load to carry so @Former-Member go for it - you're worth it. See it as being a payoff for mature age study. With very best wishes from Bimby2
