rough time

Re: rough time

I forgot school holidays are different across states @outlander. We're on day 3 of them here (feeling like day 13 though 😉).

A few things on my to-do list today like housework and groceries. We'll have someone here for the next week and a half-ish so I want to get ready for that. I want to try and find something to do with the kids today out and about that isn't going to cost much and doesn't involve any kind of physical stuff that one might be tempted to do, which is proving to be a bit tricky.

How about you?

Morning @Sans911 also 💗

Re: rough time

ah yeah the kids here finish up on friday. oh yes by day 3 its like day 13! @CheerBear

hmm that does sound tricky. can i ask what age range your LF are in? i might be able to think of something for those age brackets.

not alot to do here today. only this afternoon catching up with a few clients to organise the long weekend care they are after.

Re: rough time

I don't mention their ages here @outlander but they're in primary and range from pretty grown up and mature to very not so.

They want to go for a walk/ride around the lake where there is a big park. I've been promised one would be happy to walk with me and not go bananas at the park but they're the one that also said they wouldn't rock climb (and they did), play on the flying fox (which they fell off) and decided the other week that learning how to use roller shoes was a great idea, not long after also tying their legs together with a skipping rope and having a one legged race down the hallway with a sibling, so I'm a little reluctant to trust that. Any ideas very welcome 🙂

Hope the day goes well for you and that you have some enjoyable down time.

Re: rough time

thats ok @CheerBear
still gives me a rough idea..

haha kids! i love the way you describe it, gave me a good laugh.
they must give you alot of grey hairs!
well i do hope they stick to that promise and walk with you

can you share what sorts of things they like to do (besides give you a heart attack lol)? they sound very energectic but still needing to be careful so it does make it tricky

Re: rough time

Its a circus @outlander, but it keeps me busy and entertained 😆 (and drives me nuts often too).

One is being quite tweenie and enjoying movies and music on their own lots more than the others. They like reading too so they spend a bit more time away from the chaos that the love/hate duo can create. Those two enjoy doing pretty normal kid stuff - bikes and scooters, video games, YouTube etc. They all enjoy crafty stuff too. More often than not everyone likes getting to the park, lake, beach etc. once they're up and going which can take a bit to do if they don't all want to go. One of the biggest challenges I have is the fighting between the youngest two who go from best mates to biggest enemies in a flash, as well as finding something that keeps them all occupied being it's like there is 10 years between youngest and eldests at times (which there isn't).

Re: rough time

ok cool ill have a think for you @CheerBear
haha yes its abit of a circus here at times too and i totally get the worst enemies thing! my sisters they either get on like a house on fire or fire and ice. drives me bonkers sometimes lol. and the age gaps can be rather tricky too in finding things they all like/want to do.
