Re: SPRING-Clean Declutter - Need Help

I have difficulty focussing on one spot at a time, fully clearing it before moving on to the next and tend to deal with 3 things either from the office, the spare room or the back room (the 3 rooms needing the most work).

Despite this am starting to see a bit of desktop where there was once paperwork and vacuumed a bit more carpet in the spare room and office.

Re: SPRING-Clean Declutter - Need Help

I can relate to that @Former-Member,  drives my darling crazy when I loose interest in an area and move on to the next.

On reflection it is probably more when I have to start making decisions about what to keep or toss that it gets too hard and I move on rather than loosing interest.

I was supposed to tackle our office today but saved by an unexpected shift at work for some training.

@Determined
I think I hit a roadblock if there is not a dedicated place to store something and I am not sure of a good permanent home. UFOs are another thing - have paint in the back room, have not finished painting table legs - once job done gear can go in shed with other painting equipment.

@Adge - girl dog had a critter trapped behind the big freezer in a utility area at 11pm last night - only got a glimpse of brown fur with the torch, possibly a rat .... urrgghhhh ....

Re: SPRING-Clean Declutter - Need Help

I’m cool with working at things in a deconstructed way @Determined @Former-Member ......

Different if thiings have just drifted out of order, but if you are dealing with a room that has imploded and become a dumping ground, I really can’t blitz it any more. And my method of blitzing is to empty everything out of the space, cleaning it, then putting things back very purposefully, but the contents of that space is creating a huge mess elsewhere in the sorting phase.

Re: SPRING-Clean Declutter - Need Help

Shed blitz planned for when weather cools @Faith-and-Hope - have had a look at storage tubs - still deciding if labelling black ones which appear sturdier is better than using the see through clear ones.

Re: SPRING-Clean Declutter - Need Help

Maybe a mixture of both @Former-Member ?  Black ones at the bottom for big (maybe singular ?) items, labelled, then clear ones on top, also labelled, but you can also see things that you’re looking for .... and likely to be lots of smaller stuff in those.

Re: SPRING-Clean Declutter - Need Help

I cleaned out all my mum`s kitchen cupboards @Faith-and-Hope, @Former-Member, @Determined, but do you think I can even get the energy to do my own

@Former-Member I am laughing-crying!! Smiley LOL

Do you know how long I researched shoe racks to find the perfect one that maximises space and accomodate many pairs?? It took me way...too...long....

Sorry to interrupt everyone, I just needed to shoutout about that picture!
