Hi @Former-Member - it must have been difficult parting with that furniture especially the bed but it was a great idea to take the photos. I know what it's like when things stop us in our tracks when we see them and touch them. I have so much stuff that is really just a "memory holder" more than anything else but we'll always treasure the memory that it held... the memory lives inside us not in the physical thing if that makes sense. You're an inspiration to me in so many ways and I'm really going to get stuck into the decluttering and sorting out my life. I ordered new blinds today... twenty years I've lived here with crappy falling-apart venetians from the 1950s and finally got the quote last week. I hope I can maintain the motivation to tidy up and get rid of stuff and fix the things that need fixing. And @Adge - is it wisteria you're thinking of? I have some along my driveway fixed to steel mesh - grows really fast and is great for screening.

My son is coming home for Christmas a few days so really gotta attack my bedroom next, clear off the bed so I can use it and let him have the day bed in the lounge room. Never did like sleeping in my room lol

Yeah, me too thanks @Faith-and-Hope, he said a few days 🙂 I forget he is my priority family with the pull in the other direction. S1 has a birthday mid Jan to, after that I may shut the house up again and go help mum & dad. Woke real heavy myself today its a constant balance. Which part of the world will you be this Christmas?

I am so glad your son is coming home for Christmas - I wish the best possible time for both of you

I will be spending time with my daughter and her family - I only see the little kids around Christmas each year - for some time it seemed as if there were more each Christmas - now I think they are just getting bigger each Christmas

It's a time that both of us have someone really precious to miss - to wish for - to pray for - to still send our love - we are together in this 

Yesterday was another anniversary - this time it was okay - the passage of years does make a difference I promise you -

And I am hoping you are really up to going to help your parents out again - it's really wonderful that you do - I hope your health is okay - I know Sydney can get really humid in the summer -

Thanks @Owlunar, I hear you, and appreciate you being here. I'm in a quandry as mum has asked me to come visit (for '4 days') 😕 help her put the tree up 😕 But now she's back in hospital & I think time is near. 

My boss is peed I've pulled the pin on my 4hr shift Thursday, to go be with mum, & today i hear shes bitched to my work mates about it. Also, because of this - the whole shop now knows my house is empty - I expect more from bosses "the boss is REALLY 'pissed' at you" I heard today. I don't understand as there's still x4 staff on that day, small shop. Don't need this.

I keep freezing trying to pack to go

I really wanna be here 4 my son 4Christmas.

I'm not sure what to do, if mum will live that long... its not good at all,

I need to go but can't concentrate to pack properly. I donno
