GUESS WHAT? ???
I got a room. Late yesterday. In the over 65 ward (I'm 46l) - so totally, completely, tears of gratitude still flowing from my eyes.
Got here around 6.30 / 7 pm.
Asleep by 9ish.
Met my nre Dr. She is great. Says I have been through a massive trauma this past week and she's sorry - because I didn't deserve any of it. She has also heard of The Old Buggers name.
Tookme off the new AD
Kept me on a calmer and an amti psychotic - which will help with my mood swings as I'm still detoxing from my first AD - withdrawal.
Tomorrow we chat again. In the meantime she wants me to relax. Reacquaint myself with the hospital. And any time I'm feeling the slightest bit - edgy, restless, irritable, etc - I'm to askfor a prn calmer. As we need to make my withdrawal as painful as possible.
So all good.
so beyond happy to be here. Hasn't really sunk in yet.

Part 3
Morning 1.
Fell asleep about 9pm. Woke at 4am.
Fire alarm at 6.45am. I'm in the over 65 ward. So we were probably the slowest group to get to our designated area. No fire in hospital. But rumour has it as a faulty wire in another ward. So couldn't even check out the firemen to see if they look like thd firemen from THOSE calendars. Bugger.
Smoko couryard open. 1 more smoke and I'll get my meds - calmer and anti psychotic. Then breakfast.
@Former-Member - your froggy picture made me laugh out loud.
@BlueBay. I'm sending my best wishes for a hospital bed today. And that you can feel a little sense of calm soon.
We all need to look after ourselves FIRST. When I can I'll check on you. Just as when you are more settled - you will check in with your forum family.
Off for meds.
