Life can be a Pain

Re: Life can be a Pain

Let us now how your daughter is doing when the operation is over @Owlunar My thoughts are with you today. Hugs and hugs Heart

Re: Life can be a Pain

As soon as I hear @Zoe7

I am just about sitting on two phones waiting to here - I know she had to be at the hospital about 1.00 am and I don't know how long she will have to wait and now long it will take for it to take place and then how long before she is out of recovery and then when I will hear anything

I am so glad I am not waiting alone - it is a very uneasy feeling

Thanks Zoe

Waiting here with you @Owlunar. Hope you hear something soon Heart

Re: Life can be a Pain

Hi @Zoe7

I am still waiting to here - I finally rang the hospital to find out for myself what was happening and there was a delay and she was still in theatre - it's gone 7.00 pm - ahhhSmiley Indifferent

I'm not her next of kin - which seems weird - I do not qualify to get a call from the surgeon so I hope to hear something soon - the guy I spoke to said he would do his best for me

This has been horrible - the nerves in my belly are all screwed up - I made soup but I can't eat anything - maybe later - I am all nerves -

what a horrible day for her - really bad -

Re: Life can be a Pain

You have been through so much lately @Owlunar and all this waiting would be turning anyone in knots - hopefully it won't be much longer and you can hear something and be abe to sleep tonight. Eatung just a little while not enough is better than nothing - you need to keep up your strength as well Hon. I understand that feeling of not wanting to eat when you are waiting for news though = it can often make our nerves become more physical.

Re: Life can be a Pain

Oh @Owlunar I really hope you hear from the hospital or your daughter.

Its hard being a mum - you always worry no matter what age your children are.

Thinking of you st this stressful time ❤️

Re: Life can be a Pain

I rang the hospital again and she went into the theatre around 7.00 pm - which is ridiculous but one of those things I guess - imagine fasting for such a long time on such a hot day - ow wow

Someone has arranged for the ward staff to ring me when she is settled on the ward - so I feel I can have my vegie soup which is full of vegetables and barley and more than enough -

Yes - @BlueBay@Zoe7 - we worry about our kids well into our old age when we know more than me did when we were younger - and just think - I wanted to study medicine

I'm going to have my soup - I bet the phone rings the moment I sit down with it

Well - I hope it does anyway

Re: Life can be a Pain

Hope the phone does ring for you and that means everything is okay and your daughter is on the ward @Owlunar Enjoy your soup knowing that you have some more details and it is now just a matter of waiting for that call.

Re: Life can be a Pain

Glad you phoned the hospital again. Snd glad you’re eating your dinner. Hope you hear soon from the hospital agsin. Hope you can sleep well tonight. A pretty hot night @Owlunar xx

Re: Life can be a Pain

Thanks  @BlueBay@Zoe7

I just had a phone call from my son-in-law - my daughter is in recovery and everything went okay - just a late start

And my soup is heated up - there are enough vegies in that soup to feed an army of gladiators -
