Hi @Owlunar, we miss you! @BlueBay has even started a thread for you. You put so much into your posts, heart and soul and compassion, - we so miss your presence. You did say ya busy, and sometimes have computer glitches, so here's to hoping its those reasons and you're OK.
Hope to chat soon, xox

Re: Life can be a Pain

Hi @Former-Member@Former-Member@Appleblossom@Shaz51

Holidays are wonderful but it is good to be back - and we are in for another hot day so I will get my washing dry today -

How interesting to get back after staying by the ocean for a few days and finding that all my summer clothes are in the suitcase and need washing - I got a load pretty dry last night - I am looking forward to my own shower -

What good luck though - after having a very indifferent summer weather-wise in Melbourne - I choose to go away for a week when everything is beautiful - even hot in March. And over in Gippsland everything is really dry and there are bush fire warnings on TV every night

But the "Life can be a pain bit" - I look forward to Star Trek - 2nd gen - so much and there wered two episodes missed because of the Biggest Loser - ah - not good

And I had set my own TV to record all the shows I wanted to watch before I left - aahhhhh - a different kind of pain

Thanks for wondering how I was everyone - and for the best wishes - I will vaguely hint the next time I go away -

Oh but - while I was away and gd was checking on my cat - dd came and cleared my back garden - that was a wonderful surprise - it's just a little court yard but my little court yard - and it was over-grown

Re: Life can be a Pain

There you are @Owlunar 🎉 Glad you had a good break and your dd watched cat & garden for you. If ya like me its good to sleep in ya own bed. And StarTrekNG a big fav of mine too. My son put the entire series on a portable hardrive for me. We're kindred spirits on another level. Enjoy settling in back home & thanks for checking in 💜

Re: Life can be a Pain

Glad you had a good break @Decadian and your courtyard is looking good.

Re: Life can be a Pain

Hello @Owlunar Smiley LOL

soo good to see you my friend

soo glad you had a good holiday xx

Re: Life can be a Pain

Hi @Shaz51

It is great to have a holiday and also - great to be back -

When I go away I walk for miles - and miles - and I chat to a lot of people and for some reason people think I have family where I am going or are amazed that I travel alone

But I would be unlikely go away if I did not go alone

One adventure I had several years ago was flying to Hobart and back in the same day to go to my cousin's funeral - it might have seemed a huge deal and I guess it was - but that's a day I remember every minute off

I hope your Mum has recovered from her surgery - I have been wondering about that

hugs

Re: Life can be a Pain

Hi @Shaz51@Appleblossom@Former-Member@Former-Member@BlueBay

I got a few pics off the internet to show people Lakes Entrance - because I have rigged my phone not to get posts I can't send photos to my computer either - at least - I might find a way - but right now - here are some

undefinedThis is the motel I was staying at - I had a view of one of the lakes from my room and I could hear the ocean at night

undefinedTo give people an idea of Lakes Entrance here is an aerial photo - there is a footbridge crossing the lake that seems to run east in this photo - and I was staying on the edge of that lake

undefined

This is the view from my room - I got this pic off the net - I don't know those people in the photo - and the Lake was blue most of the time -

btw - I do have a story - when do I not have a story?

When my taxi turned up to take me up to catch the train I could not find my cat - I thought she was outside and I was worried and gradually became angry - but when my gd checked on her she was inside and I stopped being angry straight away and was just grateful - I love the cat but she can be really naughty

But when I got home - aw - she was so angry - she stood in front of my and meowed loudly telling me not to go away again - and then she meowed that same loud angry meow to go out side - then to come back in - then to go back out and to come back in - and got on my lap and jumped off and jumped on and she needs to have her claws manicured again so she had to spend some time in the bathroom -

I will go away again - in a few months

Great to be back - perhaps today I will have time to read other people's news
