Yes @Zoe7, it’s a real load off, with everything that is going on under our roof, to know that someone is here for my Dad.

Yes they are @Zoe7.  D3 didn’t want to come.  She hasn’t been here for many years, and had picked up the vibe that mr. has of not liking this town.  Especially with D1 here too, the girls have had a ball, which will now make it easier to get them back other times.

I can hear D3 chatting with my Dad inside now .... borrowing books from him and going through his art collection with explanations of where the pieces came from and what they mean to him.  

I am getting leaky.  The events of recent years kept us from time spent with my Dad that might have / should have been ..... so this is very precious.

That is beautiful @Faith-and-Hope - you are making me leaky here for you - for D3 talking with your Dad and for the time you have lost over the years - enjoy every single minute of this visit Hon - these are memories you will hold forever and so will your girls

I lost time like this with the kids and my Mum through business commitments, illness etc too,  and she had to keep coming to us, so the older kids got to know her before she passed, but the younger two were too little to remember much .... so this time now honours her too.
