Re: A Life of Trauma and Tragedy (Possibly Triggering Content)

Hi @Emelia8,

Thank you for sharing. I can see things have been really difficult and overwhelming for you lately, managing physical pain and your mental health. It is completely understandable that you are exhausted and looking for an escape. You don't deserve to feel like this or to be alone during this time. I'd really encourage you to reach out for support - you can call Lifeline (13 11 14) or SANE Help Centre, which you can access if you'd just like to speak to someone one to one non-urgently.

It is absolutely okay to take a break from the forums whenever you need to, your own wellbeing must always come first! We'll be here to support you when you are ready to return, you are valued here.

I am so sorry @Emelia8 to read this although I have known you weren’t doing well given all that you’ve had to face it’s no wonder.

Thank you for having a cuppa with me yesterday and I’d like to invite you to join me for a cuppa every afternoon at 2.30. No need to log on but I’ll be having a cuppa at that time and thinking of you.

Lots of love

Re: A Life of Trauma and Tragedy (Possibly Triggering Content)

Hello @Emelia8

Recently, it has always been a pleasure to see your bright avatar and pseudonym among the members offering “Support” to posts that other members and I have presented. Often you have offered support shortly following the posts that I have written. Thank you for all your supports, suggestions and guidance in your responses.

As you would know, from the recent correspondence that we have had on the forum, there are similarities in our respective situations, and more in the issues, of which I have not yet spoken. Consequently, I am disappointed, and express my concern, that you are experiencing the emotional and physical pain and distress that you have described.

Even though our contact on the forum has been of relatively short duration, and only in the past fortnight or so, at any personal level, I have very much appreciated your comments and supports that have been reassuring and positive for me.

I most sincerely hope that you will receive the most appropriate medical, emotional and psychological support for your situation.

With My Very Best Wishes

HenryX

😢 @Emelia8  hearing you 💙

Take all the time you need 💐

I wish we could arrange a couple of weeks in hospital for you, get you over this hump, investigate all these things, including Mental Health, where you can get expert help without without having the ADDED strain, stress and pain and extreme effort required to navigating this self serving health system. Makes me so angry your GP  can't step up for you under the circumstances, organise this, give you a break... Wish I could scoop you up in cottonwool cocoon untill the pain is gone and you're stronger.

The forums can impact us when we want to help people, you're such a godblistener and put so much into you reply posts, you've been so good at that. I miss you when you're not around much, But also understand and really really hope you get the proper help you need irl 💗

@Emelia8

I know Em - I have been through patches like that - long spells - I remember wondering what the next thing would be and sure enough - it would happen

This might help you to be less alone and to know that eventually that past is just that - if you need to take a break then do so - you are important too - and I understand that you feel you have no purpose - life changing events can do that and to have a death of such importance in the middle of all of this is a major occlusion - no wonder it is all catching up with you

My son died after the event that permanently injured my shoulder - 2 days actually - I can still hardly believe that after 35 year but I have recovered. I understand personally about your back pain too - I have had those spinal injections - they worked for me - my daughter had them too - it took longer for her -

What can I say - I understand and I care a lot and wish I could be with you right now. You really have had the long yards of tough events- I get it

Sending my love and understanding and caring and know everyone is different and some lives are harder than others -

Dec
