Thank you @Clawde ... you always cheer me up. Although you are wrong about having a bunch of good friends in real life. I really dont. I am close to my family, in particular my brother and his family. But as far as friends go, I havent had any real friends for a long time. Untimely deaths, jealous controling husband, lack of time, need to give up work to care for my husband, being a shy introverted person ... lots of reasons combined I suppose. I do have one friend though, the one who sent me a gift when I was having radiation therapy in January/February. But she doesnt live locally. Clawde my friend ... you do not come across as thick at all. And the fact that you are studying now, indicates to me that you are an intelligent person who strives to better themselves. And good on you for that. I love you too Clawde, and I am glad we have met here. If I cannot have friends in my real life, then its even more important that I have people here whom I consider friends.
Dear @Bunniekins ... we had more rain here last night too. In fact we are expecting rain every day now for the next week. Has Son1 met up with his new girlfriend yet? Gosh ... I really hope it all goes well.
@Anastasia ... I trust you had a restful day off-forum yesterday. I know it had been a difficult Saturday here for you. And sometimes we really do need to take a step back from things. Otherwise it can break us. I hope your Dad's birthday celebration last night went well. Although I think his actually birthday is not until tomorrow .. the 16th? What gorgeous flowers ... they look almost like pieces of fragile paper. And such pretty colours! I can also see some hydrangea's in there. 😊💓 Oh I hope so Myboy ... the sleep study I think you are referring to with your boy? You mentioned it on another thread a week or two ago if I recall. My husband had one of those done about 5 years ago. Its a lot to set up and its likely he wont sleep too well tonight with all the gear on. But hopefully they get some answers as a result. If sleep has been an issue for him, then if it can be remedied, he will certainly be benefited from it all. My brother in law has severe sleep apnea and uses a much needed CPAP machine. They take time to get used to, but its resulted in huge improvements for him. I'm sorry to hear that the new support worker has not worked out as well as hoped. Thats disappointing. Yes thanks I have had a mostly uneventful day. A quick trip into town this morning to pick up a new bra that the prosthesis lady sent me, from the city where she is based. She didnt have this particular one with her when she came up last Wednesday, at least not in my size. Its really good, and the prosthesis fits in much better than my existing bras. It has the special pocket to accommodate the prosthesis.
Hello dear @Owlunar , and thank you for your usual lovely post. I visited your thread earlier today, so I will try not repeat myself here. Yes thanks the prosthesis is good, and comfortable to wear. I feel much more at ease with it, than without it. As for the general soreness of both the breast and the underarm (where nodes were removed) it is persisting. In fact its been a bit sorer the last week or so. I dont know why. And I have started to get the occasional stabbing pains again that I had been getting before. I will bring up the subject when I see the radiation oncologist next Monday. We had more rain again last night .. another inch and a half as a result of a short sharp storm. Oh I love corn on the cob. I always buy it with the leaves on. They are so easy to cook in the microwave that way. Leave all the leaves on and throw a single full cob in the microwave on high for 2 mins. Turn it over and cook another 1 mins. Take it out, remove the leaves, add butter ... yum! Mind you .. your daughters chicken pie sounds pretty good. Something to look forward to post your surgery on Friday. I too will be lining up for my COVID jab as soon as it comes my turn. I learned from my GP when I saw him a few weeks ago that I will be eligible at stage 1b. That should be starting in about a weeks time, once they get more of the 1a people done. Because of my cancer, I get in early. Benefits? Not sure. What a lovely restful picture. I did have a pretty restful Sunday in fact. Thanks Dec.
Hello my dear @Former-Member . My weekend was very uneventful. And thats just fine by me. Yes I do have a rose garden, its located in a raised rock bed and there is a large magnolia tree in the middle. The roses are around the outside of the round bed. Mostly white roses, but a couple of lovely red ones and a yellow one and a pink one. They have been flowering again this past week in fact. Holly is gorgeous, and is doing well since her surgery. She is however, due to go back to the vet early next week to get a follow up blood test done. Her bloods prior to surgery showed elevated liver enzymes. The vet said it would be worth checking again a couple of months after her surgery to see if they have gone back down to normal. If not, they may need to do more tests. I hope thats not the case. The stray black cat is a regular visitor here, I see him every day. Strutting around the deck acting like he owns the place. Holly just looks at him when she is confronted by him most mornings, then looks at me. Much as to say "is he allowed to be there"? I reassure her its okay, and then they just ignore each other. Its a strange relationship they have. Oh yes EOR, I have had a couple of outings with my new booby. Boobies are sea birds .. did you know that? 😊 Of course I dont tell anyone, and nobody knows I'm wearing it. But I think if I'm not wearing it .. people do know. Make sense? Yes, Mr Emelia has been behaving himself better lately, for which I'm very thankful. That sounds like a bargain EOR ... your new rocker sounds great. My Mum has 2 rocking chairs, which Dad still has. I love sitting in them. I'm glad you told me about your purchase .. so thank you. I'm okay thanks EOR. Although I had noticed you werent around a lot lately .. thats okay .. I understand. I also dont feel talkative sometimes. Just need some quiet time occasionally. Hoping you have a better night tonight EOR, I know last night was a difficult one for you. Did you end up calling that help line the moderators gave you I wonder? Really hope you're okay.
Hi @Snowie .. thank you. I gather your psych apt attendance with H was a bit of a disaster today. Did anything good come out of it at all? I do hope so.
@Bellarose75 ... hello lovely, and thanks so much for visiting me here ... so good to see you. Yes I am here for a little while, if you are still there. Did you need to talk? This is late for you. Are you okay?
Emelia 💕

Yeh it is very late for me, meds have decided that they aren't going to work tonight. Hubby took a late job because he thought I was safely tucked up in bed. So all alone and well you know how it is. @Emelia8

Oh I see @Bellarose75 .. thats not good at all. Unsure who I am talking to right now ... is it Kim perhaps? I did see Kim was online on your other thread earlier. But you had mentioned you were switching a lot. That must be so exhausting for you. Is there anything you can do to help with sleep ... music, reading, cold drink, warm shower? Will hubby be home soon?

@Emelia8 , it's Kim. No switching makes it hard to try anything because I always getting interrupted. I haven't been alone in over a year now. He always leaves a note cause I wake but usually grab a drink amd go straight back to bed. He wouldn't have taken this one but it's one of his regulars and she was taken to hospital and was having a meltdown making it impossible to treat her. No idea when he will be home.
