Re: Sharing my life with Ms Sophie (Bipolar II)

Thanks @Former-Member ... I am healing every day ... tried to go to work for a couple of days in office using crutches and totally exhausted myself and ended up in tears as I had a few experiences with people unaware of how much help I needed who were nasty .. I don’t think they meant it but it was a hard couple of days then I worked from home Wednesday and had a day procedure on my neck in hospital Thursday for last of whiplash damage - a diagnostic nerve block to see if it helps ... can’t tell yet ... just groggy from anaesthetic today and a bit depressed too as I’m not at work again sigh ... hopefully next will just get better and better ... MsS has had a little relief with her headaches easing a little bit so that is a win too ... we have friends over tomorrow for a small birthday dinner for a friend which should be fun

Re: Sharing my life with Ms Sophie (Bipolar II)

Hi @Sophie1

How are you bearing up?

How did birthday celebrations go?

Re: Sharing my life with Ms Sophie (Bipolar II)

Thx @Former-Member  birthday party we hosted went super well - good old roast chicken and veg !! A bit of fancy dress (70s glam rock) and music to match and much silliness - just what the doctor ordered !!!... MsS even stayed awake unti 11.45 when the guests went home 😊👍 this hasn’t happened in years so a big improvement in socialising and wakefulness ... lovely not to have the burden of hosting on my own which was usually the case for many years ... so party great .. but headache migraines still weigh heavily on MsS more days than not ... waiting for next treatment

Re: Sharing my life with Ms Sophie (Bipolar II)

Hi @Sophie1

Are you finishing old job this week?

Re: Sharing my life with Ms Sophie (Bipolar II)

Hi @Former-Member  👋

yes tomorrow is last day !!!

i got a haircut today and feeling good 🙂

ready for a fresh start

my hip is still quite painful tho and I’m still using a walking stick for commuting to work ... but good news is I’m allowed to swim this weekend 🙂 and start cello again tomorrow !!!! So getting my life back bit by bit 🙂

MsS is a bit stuck and mopey after visit with her family interstate last week .. mix of relief to be home and sadness as missing family ... normal for her .. she rung me at 5pm at work and hadn’t showered yet and was ‘stuck’ ... a bit of tlc this weekend will help !

How is your unpacking going ? Is MrD doing ok ?
