Wow, way to go @Former-Member, looks great xx

Thinking "x2 items a day minimum", oh @Former-Member,

  1. today I threw out 1 pair of torn shorts that have been in the drawer for years

2. I cleared the table on the verandra again

Re: SPRING-Clean Declutter - Need Help

@Former-Member. My table has even more piled on top. I'll fold some of the clothes tomorrow and put them away.

Re: SPRING-Clean Declutter - Need Help

@Shaz51, wtg, one space, two items a day ☺

Re: SPRING-Clean Declutter - Need Help

I de-cluttered one of my inside cages, by putting one of the canaries outside (into one aviary).

It was hard to catch him, & all 3 canaries (from inside cage) got out, & were flying around the kitchen - until I caught them again & put them back in...

I did some weeding (nasty bulbous weed) this afternoon, & rid the back yard of about 10 big snails (whilst I was doing that).

Does trying to get rid of fleas (cat spread around house) count as de-cluttering? No probably not. I've been battling them for weeks.

I've been trying to de-clutter myself of the rats in the roof too, for several weeks. I've baited lots up there, so I hope I finally stop them from womping inside the wall (at night) & waking me up...

Re: SPRING-Clean Declutter - Need Help

Oh @Adge, i agree that fleas and rat control most sefinately coynts as SPRING CLEANING at least 😵 , how horrible for you! Have you tried a mortien flea bom ? I use to use surface spray, especially along skirting boards. But very toxic, good the leave the house a while 'till the fumes settle (don't breathe it in) and avoid skin contact where chemicals have been. A big cockroach just landed n my arm 😨Ill be getting new bates tomorrow.
Lovely to hear about your birds again. I have separated finches from Bourke's now. Fale Bourke, 'Pearl' has grown back her lost chest bone feathers since, and talks more, very sweet. The finches are now x6 (was x4), cute little things. They came out of the nest the day we separated the Bourke's. Pet shop said they'd be OK together but clearly not - not in breeding time anyway 🙏

Good to see ya Adge

Re: SPRING-Clean Declutter - Need Help

Hi @Former-Member Yes spring cleaning it is then...

Yuk yes cockroaches always give me a shock when they fly - I'm not a fan of them, especially when they sneak into the house during the night.

I've been doing a bit of surface spraying around room corners etc, plus I've treated Jelly cat with flea stuff 4 times already (in the last 4 weeks).

Hopefully I will get rid of them all soon - I'm fed up with getting bitten. They should be gone by now.

The rats don't seem to be eating the baits much. I just heard one running in the roof right now.

Rat baits in the roof have always worked in the past - but these ones seem determined to stay.

Or maybe they're super-rats. I don't want those...

Re: SPRING-Clean Declutter - Need Help

Oh @Former-Member I forgot to say that I think you're a real professional with your birds.

Excellent! It took me decades to have much success with breeding finches...

You've got 2 new ones already...

Re: SPRING-Clean Declutter - Need Help

Hello @Adge, @Former-Member, @utopia, @Former-Member, @Owlunar

I have thrown out 1 baking dish that had gone brown from rest so far today

Re: SPRING-Clean Declutter - Need Help

Thanks @Adge re birds, cute lil things. You might need to set some big traps for the rats - not good. Fleas have a hatching / incubation time of 3wks I belive. Those eggs are small. Wonder if flea powder will slow them down, what a pain.

@Shaz51, you're good, I'd take a rusty baking dish out to garden as water catcher for my littlw pot plants.

I have a trailwrload for the rip I keep adding to - chucked an old foot stool & travel bag today. That's my 2 things @Former-Member 😇 lol

Re: SPRING-Clean Declutter - Need Help

Just a bit of token juggling here.
