get that ....answer is spot on..
I started shoving clothes into a large bag about two years ago I think...
the bag does get moved around occasionally....
a few more items have been added over that period...some have been taken back out sadly...
in a pink fit...I moved that bag...a large bag containing bags and another bag containing old coat hangers out....they are still on the floor in the second bedroom with the wardrobe doors still open...

Hi @Jokilet - I can see how things can get overwhelming. It's only now that I'm not working that I can see how things got so out of control. A second opinion would be great - sort of like a life coach who could help you make the tough decisions about what is needed and what is just clutter. There are a lot of buy / sell groups on facebook and also free sites like ziilch where you list stuff for free and people come and get them. Also some people put stuff on gumtree for free - I picked up some garden rocks a couple of weeks ago. It's not easy to sell second hand stuff - people these days love new things. I guess it's social conditioning - buy, buy, buy = mass consumption and planned obsolescence. I hate waste and I hate throwing things out that still work which is why I can't help myself when I see something useful out on the kerbside collection.
Anyway I had a productive day today - another storage tub emptied and two bags of rubbish to go out. Also cleaned out the coffee mug cupboard - can't believe I have coffee mugs from places I worked twenty years ago. Also found a stack of mouse mats from companies that have long since disappeared. No idea why I've been hanging onto this stuff.... I keep asking myself that question everytime I unearth another useless object. Probably good that I don't have a spare room like you @utopia - it would be a clutter fest. Hope everyone else is well.
