Dear @Owlunar
I haven't been a particularly good friend of late being here. I'm sorry. Life gets in the way at times. I really hope you had a lovely day yesterday and spent it with your daughter. You're always in my thoughts my friend. Love and hugs 🤗💞

Hi @Shaz51 @Anastasia @Emelia8 @outlander @BlueBay @MDT @TAB
I am okay - I had a good Christmas - a lovely day at my daughter's house - she is very tired - it is takig her a while to recover from her surgery - I am concerned about this
I would really like her to see my pain specialist but she is feeling okay with her GP and one of her specialists must be able to authorise her GP to write scripts for the medication she is having - and I know when to back off. But yeah - although I am only her mother and what would I know - ho hum - I do know more about pain management than she does -
Anyway - we had roast leg of lamb and that has to be my favourite and it was wonderful - a lot of vegetables too - plus great - and pavlova - and we shared stacks of parcels and I have some really nice things
We face-timed with my grand-daughter and her boyfriend while we opened our shared presents with them - and I am so glad my grand-daughter has found such a nice friend - he already has children - it seems my family is into taking on other people's children - which might be necessary as we progress through life - I am okay with it seeing as I started it
I have overdone things though - I had a busy week before Christmas - I saw my pain specialist and had more injections into my knee - which is great - the hard part was getting my groceries late on Thursday - in the past I found that the supermarket was pretty quiet late on Christmas Eve but not so this year - it was crazy busy there and I wonder why - I don't have a choice of when I shop because I have a support worker - so I have been spending a lot of time reading or napping
I wish you all the best and thanks for the messages and Christmas Pictures - I have found some more Christmas Kitties - all sending their best thoughts along with me
And of course - 2021 has to be better - after all - we will be getting vaccinated I am sure - and we can make plans to visit our family and friends interstate - I want to see the tropics again in the winter - I have escaped north for 4 years and twice last year - 2019 - and I want to do so again and really hope we can all see my GD in July
Happy New Year everyone

Hi Tabby Cat![]()
I think it wise not to travel interstate right now - when the borders can be suddenly closed with little warning and then the possibilty of paying thousands to quarantine if things go sour - and yes - it is a pity not to see your Dad for the holidays - it's a bitter COVID reality pill - darn it
I overdid the eating on Christmas Day too - I think the roast dinner was fine though I ate more than normal - the pavlova was fantastic and my son-in-law cut huge slices and I couldn't eat it all - I had really stuffed myself
So - you did - I did - a lot of people did - why not eat and be merry at Christmas if we can
I hope you see your Dad sometime in the future - when we can get vaccinated and closed borders and hotel quarantine are all in the past.
All the best Tabs
